Gingerbread Chocolate Bark

Description

A mouth-watering mix of crushed leftover gingerbread cookies and melted chocolate.


Ingredients

crumbled gingerbread cookies

chopped chocolate pieces, any flavor

sprinkles

finishing salt


Instructions

  1. Place leftover cookies in a sturdy plastic bag and crush with a rolling pin into varying sizes.
  2. Melt chocolate over a double boiler until few chunks remain. Remove from heat and stir until fully melted and slightly cooled down.
  3. Pour melted chocolate on to a cookie sheet lined with parchment. Spread chocolate to a 1/4-inch thickness.
  4. Immediately sprinkle cookies evenly over chocolate and gently press into the chocolate.
  5. Sprinkle with colored sprinkles or jimmies and finishing salt.
  6. Cool completely in the refrigerator.
  7. Break into shards.
