Award winning grilled cheese.



1 cup shredded or thinly sliced mozzarella cheese

4 slices Arnold Country White Buttermilk Bread

1 egg

1 tablespoon milk

pinch of salt and pepper

olive oil for shallow frying


  1. Divide cheese between 2 bread slices
  2. Top each with a second bread slice. Gently press together
  3. Trim crusts off, if desired
  4. On a flat plate, lightly beat eggs with milk, salt and pepper
  5. Dip sandwiches in egg mixture coating both sides well
  6. Heat olive oil in skillet over medium heat.
  7. Add sandwiches. Cook, turning, until both sides are golden brown and cheese is melted.
