Grain Free Dog Treats make great gifts.

Grain free dog treats.

Raise your hand if you are celebrating the year of the dog. That's right. 2018 is all about that WOOF. There is nothing like the love of a good pet and I, along with millions of others, love dogs. Looking back, 3 years ago I posted a pumpkin dog biscuit recipe. Today's recipe features homemade grain free dog treats.

Gifting your best friend my black dog laying down.

My Deacon loves the pumpkin dog biscuit recipe, but pumpkin is not always readily available. After watching my daughter's dog chow down on a few fallen apples in the yard last fall I wondered about replacing the pumpkin with unsweetened applesauce. Turns out that dogs love apples and unsweetened applesauce is safe for dogs to eat. So, this recipe is another well received one for gifting your best friend.

My daughter and her dog are best friends.

So, in addition to celebrating your favorite humans this Valentine's Day consider showing your favorite Fido some love, too. This recipe for grain free dog biscuits is dog approved and with only 5 ingredients super easy to make.Dog treats for gifting? Bake them for your best friend.

Heart-shaped grain free dog treats.

Honest and loyal, Dogs are the truest friends and most reliable partner. Gifting your best friend will always be appreciated. Could you ask for a better Valentine?

The best gift for any pup is grain free homemade dog biscuits. Super easy to make and your dog will love them. A gift from the heart is always welcome.

I bet my pups would love these. Love the pictures of the doggies but Caitlin is the star. She is so beautiful with her dog Levon. Deacon is one lucky dog to have a baker for a mom!

Caitlin is a beauty inside and out and that Levon is a lover dog "pet me pet me please just rub my belly". Deacon, on the other hand, is an aloof dog. She wants to be near and have me in her sights, but does not like to be pet......maybe some rescue trauma there.

Thanks Lisa, and Sadie thanks you too! Applesauce contest entry, or just good use of the product?

If you make the dog treats I would love to know if Sadie likes them as much as Deacon and Levon. This is not a recipe for a contest.

Sadie, as I knew, loved the treats, as did her "boy friend" next door, Koda.
