Pork Tenderloin Marinade

In my previous blog post we all enjoyed a healthier holiday cheese board made with a flavorful Lucky Foods SEOUL Gochujang Glaze. Let's continue our healthy holiday theme and move on to the main course taking this versatile glaze to the next level. It's a most impressive meal. It all starts with an easy pork tenderloin marinade.

Gochujang Glazed Sesame Pork

Gochujang Glazed Sesame Pork Tenderloin with a grilled stone fruit salad will have you singing happy holidays, but to be honest it is a great every day meal, too. Quick, Easy and filled with fabulous well balanced Asian flavors healthy never tasted so good.

As the cook, you will be in and out of the kitchen in no time flat. The kalbi sauce with a bit of fresh ginger serves as the pork tenderloin marinade. Further, the gochujang glaze which literally takes a couple of minutes can be made ahead. So, be the hostess with the mostest. Pour yourself a glass of your favorite beverage and enjoy being with your guests instead of slaving over a hot stove.

Easy Steps to Gochujang Glazed Sesame Pork

Pork tenderloin marinade.
Sesame coated marinated pork tenderloin.
  • Place pork (trimmed of silver skin) in zippered plastic bag
  • Mix Kalbi sauce and grated ginger; pour over pork
  • Seal bag and marinate pork for at least 2 hours
  • Remove pork from marinade and pat dry
  • Coat pork with gochujang glaze and sesame seeds
  • Roast pork for 20 minutes

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound pork tenderloin, trimmed of silver skin
  • ½ cup Lucky Foods Kalbi Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
  • ¼ cup Gochujang Glaze*
  • 3 to 4 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • Lettuce
  • Grilled nectarine slices, or your favorite seasonal fruit*

Instructions
 

  • 1. Place tenderloin in a zippered plastic bag. Mix Kalbi sauce and ginger; pour over tenderloin to coat. Seal bag displacing as much air as possible. Marinate in the refrigerator for 2 hours or as long as overnight.
    2. Remove pork from marinade and pat dry with paper towels. Discard marinade.
    3. Heat oven to 400F. Line a broiler pan with foil. Add ¼ cup of water to pan. Top pan with lightly greased rack.
    4. Coat tenderloin with gochujang glaze; roll in or sprinkle with sesame seeds to coat. Place on rack. Roast for 25 to 30 minutes or until meat thermometer registers 155F.
    5. Remove to serving platter, cover and let rest 5 minutes before thinly slicing. Garnish platter with fresh greens and lightly grilled and glazed nectarines. Drizzle with additional gochujang glaze.

To grill nectarines: slice into wedges and place on lightly greased hot grill pan. Grill, turning, about 1 minute per side. Baste or drizzle with warm gochujang glaze.
Insert the meat thermometer in the thickest part of the tenderloin and adjust cook time accordingly.

    Tasty, but the cook time was way off. Needed to nearly double time at 400 to get to safe internal temp. Highly recommend adjusting this.

      Cook times will vary quite a bit depending on the thickness of the meat as well as the calibration on your oven. That's why I recommend using a meat thermometer. Thanks for trying the recipe. I'm glad you found it tasty. I did update the post with additional information.
